So What's this all about then, eh?

There was this bloke, you see, who couldn't work out whether the new Recent Results part of Google's search results could be gamed by placing dates on a page which were randomly generated at a time between one and four hours before the page was actually loaded.

So this bloke made a page which would do exactly that. He needed some unique content that he could search Google's latest results for, so he wrote all this dribble in the sidebar.

He also wanted content that automatically updated every so often, so the Goog' would appreciate it for all its fresh content goodness, so he pulled in a feed for the twitter results for everybody tweeting that they needed a coffee.

He also wanted to keep a record for every time googlebot accessed his page, so he made his page record each googlebot visit to a text file, which can be found here.

So, now we create a google alert with some of this text in it, so we're automatically notified when the page is indexed.

It's all good fun, eh?
