The splogger experiment continues

Man, your last splogger test didn’t get any takers? That’s weird. Surely you’ll get a bunch from this one huh? That “buy viagra” should be a hit. lol Funny stuff mate.

gtull - It did get a few, I just delete them as they come in because they screw with my recent comments list.

Nishu - I’m flattered, a bit, I think…..Here’s an idea though, how about trying it with your own list of keywords?

well stuart .. i tried with urs as well as mine .. but in the end the result was zuck .. bcoz seems like technorati banned my blog or smtng .. it has not updated my blog posts for about 20 days .. And there is no way to get backlinks unless you feed bomb or get into technorati recent posts listings

btw.. a look at my blog before providing suggestion .. or atleast reading the url i attached culd have proved more valuable :-/

Nishu - I did read your post, and yes, you did have a new list of keywords on that post, although you did link from that post to a previous post of yours where you had copied and pasted my list.

I guess my thoughts are that you’d have more success with the experiment by taking your own route. There’s little to be gained by two people using the same keyword list for this type of experiment. I’m keen to see the results of your second round of the experiment though.

As far as technorati banning your blog, I can see it there. The bigger question is where people are getting your content from. I’m finding it’s mostly blogsearch.google.com. It might be worthwhile you looking to see if it’s there.

I thought sploggers dont mind looking for 2 different sources to get content. Do you think if my results show up above yours in google blog search results they will only link to me and not you? ..

It is good that your content is found on google blog search .. In my case it reaches google blog search after a hour or so even after I ping them .. So it doesnt make much sense waiting for them .. But if sploggers catch you on technorati its all gold.

And about technorati banning .. they are not updating posts by me for last 21 days .. thats so damn annoying ..

Nishu, I’m not talking about whether people link to me or not, what I’m talking about is if you used a different set of keywords, the combined experiment would have had another data set to analyse.

Yes, they’ll probably grab your content as well as mine, the point of this experiment is to try to work out what terms sploggers are more likely to grab (I’m thinking a wordpress plugin to drop a predetermined list of keywords at the bottom of posts in the RSS feed might be in order).
