Five reasons why that internet marketer needs to send you a follow up email

Posted by stuart as , ,

You know the one, it usually starts with something like

Oops, I forgot to tell you this in my message to you yesterday………

I seem to get one of these emails every time one of the internet marketers  who’s list I’m on, sends me one of their latest offers. So here are the five best reasons why internet marketers absolutely desperately need to send you a next day follow-up email.

  1. The paypal link wasn’t working.” - oh really, and you didn’t check it before you sent out 10,000 emails? You’re that stupid, but you want me to trust you with my hard earned? I don’t think so.
  2. We got so much traffic for this offer, it crashed the server, so we’re extending the offer for another 24 hours” - So you managed to drive enough traffic to a single page HTML only sales letter to crash a dual Xeon server with 4 gig of RAM? Either you think I’m really stupid, or it’s time you moved off that $4.95 reseller hosting package.
  3. I forgot to include this super free bonus worth $18,963.96” - OK, so you sent out 10,000 emails without checking to see that you’d included everything that was needed? See number one above.
  4. “I’m selling this product as an affiliate, and didn’t realise something important about the deal, so I’m writing another email to let you know about the deal I’ve done with such-and-such” - See number one above, and do your homework before you email me.
  5. I just wanted to let you know how successful yesterday’s promotion was, there are only a few spots left, so you’d better hurry!” - Oh really, If it was so successful, I’m sure you can do without my money.

I’m sure there are heaps more, anybody got some more reasons why internet marketers absolutely positively must send you a follow up email the day after a major promotion?
