PLR articles on Adsense sites - worth the hassle?

Posted by stuart as , , , ,

PLR articles are all the rage on adsense sites at the moment.

PLR (Private Label Rights) articles are articles you buy (generally in bulk), on a certain subject, then adjust so that your site is not penalized by the search engines for duplicate content, then upload to your own website.

PLR articles can be had for as little as $0.10 each, but you need to be aware that the same articles are sold over and over. There’s no new ideas in there.

When you buy PLR articles, you buy them outright, so you don’t need to credit the author, as long as you make adjustments to the original article.

If you’re thinking about using PLR articles on your site, there is something you need to consider.

Think about how you gain the majority of your traffic. If you want to use PLR articles only on your site, you need to remember that you are not offering any concepts or ideas that your visitors won’t be able to find on dozens of other site. The words might be slightly different, but the problem with PLR articles, is that the ideas are all the same. You may garner a little traffic from the search engines, if you rank highly enough, but you’re unlikely to get much in the way of returning visitors, as they can get your information at other sites as well as yours.

Conversely, if you provide fresh, orignal ideas, with well written articles, the chances are that your visitors will bookmark your site, or maybe even link to it from their own site. thus greatly increasing your chances of long term success for your adsense site.

So stick to it, there are no shortcuts to a succesful website, but if you work hard on fresh ideas, you greatly enhance your chances of success.

If you are interested in using PLR articles, you owe it to yourself to check out this site!
